Face Mounted Acrylic Prints
Face mounted acrylic prints provide a stunning and modern look to any home, office, or gallery. Using a clear adhesive, prints are adhered to the back of a ¼” thick piece of polished and clear acrylic. This helps protect prints from dust and scratches, improves the lifespan of the print, and adds a 3rd dimension to your print.
Mounting with Wooden Cleats
For many, the floating look provided by a cleat system is preferred over traditioMatt Wardnal metal standoffs. To do this, we adhere a thin layer of black PvC to back of the face mounted acrylic, which helps further protect the print. A wooden block is fitted and then cut at an angle, with half of it permanently adhered to the PvC backing with precise leveling, and the matching cut provided loose for attaching to your wall surface.
A third wooden block is adhered near the bottom of the PvC to keep the weight of your acrylic from angling downward and ensuring a flush mount to your wall.
A level is highly recommended when attempting to mount acrylic prints with cleats
